E is for Exposure
Exposure is the combination of ISO, aperture, and shutter speed which combine to capture the picture. This known as the exposure triangle.
- ISO determines the sensitivity of the film or sensor on which the image is captured.
- Aperture is the size of the opening through which light travels through the lens.
- Shutter speed determines how long the shutter (or aperture) is open, determining how much light hits the sensor or film.
