3 ways to add variety in a photo session
A photo session is an investment of time and money, so why not make the most of it? Here are three easy ways to get different looks in one session.
Clothing has an enormous impact on the final photograph. Different colors, textures, looks, and styles can produce very different results even with the same lighting and backdrop.
Changing the way you interact with the camera is another way to add variety to your photo session. How you sit or stand, whether you look directly at the camera or away from it. or If your face is turned or direct to camera all affect the final image.
In most locations, just moving a few feet can change the light, the background, or provide a natural frame for a shot.
One photo session doesn't mean you need to be restricted to one look or one outcome. Talk to your photographer ahead of the session to brainstorm ideas. A photo session is a collaboration between the photographer and the subject (you!). Most importantly of all, during the session be willing to experiment, and have FUN!
